microfilming of a multiple sheet drawing or document, if an individual sheet(s)
is revised, only the sheet(s) affected by the revision needs to be remicrofilmed.
3.2.5 Multiple frame documents sequence and microfilming. Drawings requiring multiple frame microfilming shall be microfilmed in consecutive frame sequence. When multiple frame sheets are revised, the entire sheet shall be remicrofilmed.
3.2.6 Design changes, revision of drawing and associated data. Drawings and associated data shall be revised to reflect all approved changes. After initial shipment, copies of all new and revised data shall be prepared and shipped in accordance with of MIL-STD-100, chapter 600 or as otherwise specified in the contract.
3.3 Tabulating and image cards. Cards supplied for either the microfilm frame deck, image card deck or DD Form 1310 (E card) shall be in accordance with MIL-M-38761 except as specified in 3.3.1 through 3.3.3.
3.3.1 Card stock. Tabulating card stock shall be the Type 1, Style A,
80 column card specified in Federal Specification G-C-116.
3.3.2 Card size. The dimensions of the image card, tabulating card and
DD Form 1310 (E card) shall be in accordance with ANSI X3.11.
3.3.3 Image card format. The printed image card format shall be in accordance with DD Form 1562 as specified in MIL-STD-804 and 3.3.3.1.
3.3.3.1 Security classification markings. Microfilm frame cards applicable to a classified frame of microfilm and image cards carrying microfilm of classified data shall be marked, stripe coded and contain downgrade markings as specified in MIL-STD-804. The microfilm frame cards that pertain to classified documents but do not contain classified information shall contain the marking, "This card is unclassified," in addition to the security markings of MIL-STD-804.
3.3.4 Corner cut. All image cards and tabulating cards, except those containing classified information, shall have an upper left corner cut. The corner cut shall be 1/4 inch along the top edge of the card and 3/8 inch along the left edge of the card. All other corners shall be rounded with a radius of
1/4 inch.
3.3.5 Microfilm frame deck. A single microfilm frame deck of tabulating cards shall accompany each shipment of microfilm. The microfilm frame deck shall consist of one tabulating card for each frame of microfilm (including targets) in microfilm frame order. The information keypunched on these cards is a duplicate of the information punched on the image cards and is used as source data for a drawing inventory/locator file.
3.3.5.1 Card punching. The standard 80 column tabulating card shall be used for the microfilm frame deck. Microfilm frame card punching and interpretation instructions for DD Form 1562 (card code H/T) using lower legend shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-804 and the following.
3.3.5.1.1 Applicable field definition. Punching and interpreting instructions for the microfilm image cards and the microfilm frame deck are as follows:
